So today I'm bringing back the predictions blog gimmick here at MWC and I'm gonna be talking about my predictions for the biggest event in all of wrestling: WrestleMania!
WrestleMania 32 is interesting to say the least so far. A lot of people seem to be losing hope for this PPV already but I still got hope and some ideas that will hopefully happen to save the show!
Anyways without further ado, let's get right to the matches.
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
So first up were gonna be talking about the traditional Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
For the past 2 years this match seems very meaningless. The winners: Cesaro & Big Show didn't have any major push or whatever after winning the whole thing so really what's the point?
I know it's a tribute to Andre the Giant and all but if they really want to honor one of the greatest legends in wrestling then make the match relevant! Cesaro is currently injured and Big Show well, he's just being Big Show really.
So I got 2 predictions on who to win this match, first off I said before that Mark Henry should win it since this could potentially be his last WrestleMania and why not have him get the big win at his home state of Texas?
The second potential winners are members of The Wyatt Family, mainly Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman. So Bray is now cleared to compete so he's probably the one who's going to win since they are really the only one heavily advertised to participate in this match. Strowman could also win because well, he's big that's all, and you know Vince likes pushing big guys!
But at the end of the day, even if The Wyatts would win this match their momentum is already done. I sure do hope that they make this match extra special instead of just winning a trophy then why not have the winner get a title shot of their choosing just to make things more interesting?
8 Divas Tag-Team Match:
Brie Bella,Alicia Fox,Paige,& Natalya vs Lana,Team BAD,& ???
So for weeks they have been hyping up this feud with Brie Bella against Lana, I don't see the point of it but I honestly don't mind it well because Lana is involved!
So pretty much for WrestleMania we got all the divas not involved for the Divas title match shoved all up in to one huge 8 Divas Tag-Team Match. We got Brie Bella's team with Alicia Fox,Paige, and Natalya going up against Lana who allied herself with Team BAD and another mystery partner who is yet to be named.
Now I honestly think Lana and her team will go over to this match. As much as I love Paige & Natalya, I think they should've had their own singles match but they were somehow involved into this mess. So yeah the heels will go over, plus it's Lana's debut match so why not let her win right? At WrestleMania of all things!
Now as for the mystery partner I think it would be Nikki Bella! We've seen pictures of her working out already and she seems to be doing fine. Plus I honestly prefer her as a heel, so you know pull out a little swerve there shocking her sister. But I seriously hope they won't do another feud with The Bellas because we all know how awful that was!
Anyways another possibility is the return of Kharma (aka Awesome Kong.) She was recently fired in TNA so maybe WWE is gonna give us a surprise? I honestly would not mind that! Maybe by the end of the match she will turn on Lana and Team BAD making her the ultimate heel in the divas division!
Tag-Team Tables Match:
The Usos vs The Dudley Boyz
For the next match we got a Tag-Team Tables Match between The Usos vs The Dudleys.
Now this feud is kinda pointless as well, The Dudleys are basically heels now after turning on The Usos on RAW during a match. They're saying that they're not just a nostalgia act and they mean serious business at their return to the WWE.
So for a few weeks The Dudleys are saying that they won't be using any tables but during another episode of RAW, they turned out to be hypocrites as they attacked The Usos once again with the tables.
Now if this match doesn't scream pre-show to you then I don't know where they can fit this in the card! Now don't get me wrong, we will for sure have a good match between these two teams but after that then what? Are they gonna continue feuding? Will the winning team gets a shot at the Tag Titles? Overall this is just a pointless filler match for Mania and should really just be for the Pre-Show.
So my pick, obviously The Usos will win. The Dudleys have no problem putting over young talent like them, I'm not a fan of The Usos but it's obvious that they will win, even though The Dudleys are masters of tables matches.
U.S. Championship Match:
Kalisto (c) vs Ryback
Next up we got a David vs Goliath match up between Kalisto & Ryback for the US Championship.
Now I don't know why does WWE keep on pushing Ryback like an unstoppable monster again! It clearly didn't work the first time and it sure as hell won't work the second time! I actually don't hate Ryback I'm just not really getting behind the way he's being booked right now, but hey what can they do better for him anyway?
So they've been hyping up this match for quite a while now with Ryback beating down jobbers after jobbers. Finally just on last week's RAW it was confirmed that these two would actually face-off for Kalisto's US Title.
Now it seems like the way WWE is pushing Ryback he is going to win the title but I really hope he won't! I'm predicting that Kalisto will retain and I also got this idea from Dalyxman on YouTube and I think it would be pretty cool to see.
So before their match right? Ryback would be walking backstage and he saw Goldberg! He'll basically trashtalk Goldberg saying "you're a washed up has been and I'm the new unstoppable force in WWE right now!" or something along those lines. Then later on during the match, Goldberg makes his way to the ring SPEARS Ryback allowing Kalisto to do his thing and pin The Big Guy, retaining the belt! I know it's impossible but hey, it's just fantasy booking anyway.
Now if you ask me on how I would book a match for the US Championship at WrestleMania, I would do Kalisto against a heel Sin Cara! Basically Sin Cara has been jealous of Kalisto and he hates the fact that he's just living behind his tag-team partner's shadow. It will be an epic match for all Lucha Libre fans!
What about Ryback you may ask? Well he can participate in the Andre Memorial Battle Royal, I honestly could care less about Ryback right now but that's just me!
WWE Tag-Team Championships Match:
The New Day (c) vs League of Nations
Next we got a 3-on-4 Tag-Team Match between the Tag-Team Champs: New Day taking on The League of Booty--- err sorry, League of Nations!
Now I would be shocked if League of Nations wins this match! They have loss twice already against The New Day, first on RoadBlock and second on RAW (even though they kicked New Day's ass after the match.) It just won't be believable for me if The Lads still managed to take victory after losing twice in a row already.
Sure they have the numbers game but still, New Day should still remain as your WWE Tag-Team Champs and continue the reign up until SummerSlam! I won't mind seeing New Day as babyfaces either, they are one of the most, if not the most over wrestlers in WWE right now!
So yes, even though the odds are stacked against them I still think The New Day will retain the tag-team titles with the help of Booty-O's and The Power of Positivity!
7 Man Ladder Match - Intercontinental Championship:
Owens (c) vs Zayn vs Miz vs Ziggler vs Stardust vs Sin Cara vs Ryder
For the next match we got one of the matches I'm excited for at WrestleMania is the 7 Man Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship!
So yeah Kevin Owens will not be defending his title on "KO Mania" against 2 or 3 other wrestlers, but 6! You got former IC Champs: The Miz,Dolph Ziggler, and Stardust as well as Sin Cara,Zack Ryder, and of course making his WrestleMania debut: Sami Zayn!
Oh and yes your eyes are not fooling you, Zack Ryder is indeed going to WrestleMania for the Intercontinental Championship! Are you not HYPED?! ZackManai is running wild! But will he win? Obviously not!
(He is a replacement for Neville who got injured and will be out for 2-3 months.)
The one I'm picking to win this match is none other than Sami Zayn! As a lot of fans are saying, Sami Zayn is the new ultimate babyface of the roster right now, he's kinda like in the position of Daniel Bryan and what better way to make his WrestleMania debut a memorable one by hanging on top of the ladder with the IC Title in his hands!
Now if you ask me I won't even want another ladder match for the IC Title, I would much prefer just a singles bout between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn but whatever, at least we would see some more crazy spots right? Let's just hope nobody gets injured for crying out loud!
So yes Sami Zayn for the win! I hope he continues feuding with Owens until SummerSlam so we get a 1-on-1 bout between those two there! As for the other guys, well they'll just keep doing their thing as mid-carders.
Triple Threat Match - Divas Championship:
Becky Lynch vs Charlotte (c) vs Sasha Banks
For the first time in forever it seems like, we finally got a good match up for the Divas Championship at WrestleMania between 3 of the hardest working divas in WWE right now!
Charlotte will be defending her title against Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks, 3 of the greatest NXT Divas are now making their WrestleMania debut! Now who is my pick? I think Becky Lynch will finally have her moment at the grandest stage of them all!
I'm not the biggest fan of Charlotte but I think she does her job as a heel very well but I think it's time for her to be independent, maybe she will lose the title because of her dad and of course she will turn on The Nature Boy.
As for Sasha Banks, I'm a big fan of her! I heard that her cousin Snoop Dogg will accompany her at WrestleMania this year so there's some added interference there, I just don't think Sasha will win the Divas Title at Mania even though she deserves it!
After just being a cheerleader for Charlotte during the awful "Divas Revolution" storyline, I think at WrestleMania is Becky's time to shine and prove that she is a deserving champion!
AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho
So for the fourth and possibly last time we got a match between AJ Styles and Chris Jericho. This has been an interesting feud to say the least and I hope it all culminates at WrestleMania.
After their short tag-team run turning out to be a failure, Y2J turned on AJ Styles and became a heel once again which he does so perfect! I gotta be honest, besides Kevin Owens Y2J is the best heel in WWE right now!
So far there have been no stipulations for this match yet, it's just confirmed that it would be a singles match between the two. Now this should be a nice match for sure, I just think it needs a big stipulation to make things more interesting.
A lot of people are saying that the stipulation should be if Y2J loses he has to leave WWE or retire for good.
We have to wait and see.
Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose
Up next we got one of the three big matches at WrestleMania, it's the Street Fight between Brock Lesnar & Dean Ambrose! Now I already talked about this in a previous blog before so I won't go too much in to detail.
I'm hoping to the wrestling Gods that this match won't be just a glorified hardcore match, hopefully both men will go apeshit crazy on each other and bleed like it's a Bruiser Brody vs Abdullah the Butcher match!
Now things got more interesting with Dean Ambrose receiving "presents" from Hardcore Legends. First he received "Barbie" (a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire) from Mick Foley and a chainsaw from Terry Funk! Now the chainsaw might just be a thing he will carry around during his entrance, but I sure do hope he will use Barbie against Brock!
But I'm still picking Brock as a winner. Why? Because after all Brock is a fucking machine and has beaten every top star in the company; The Undertaker,John Cena,Triple H,Kurt Angle, and CM Punk just to name a few! While Ambrose does deserve to win for a mega momentous push I don't think he will win against Brock just by himself. But he will for sure give Brock a hard time! After all he is an alumnus of CZW!
Now the only way I'm seeing Ambrose win is by interference from other wrestlers or legends like Mick Foley and Terry Funk, hell maybe even have Foley as a guest referee just to make things even more interesting!
So yeah, at the end of the day I still think Brock will win against Ambrose after such a bloody street fight, this could potentially be the match of the night if done correctly!
Hell in a Cell:
The Undertaker vs Shane McMahon
Next we got the most talked about match up in the whole world right now, it's The Undertaker vs Shane McMahon at Hell in a Cell!
Okay so the stakes even got higher for this match, we all know the stipulation that if Shane O'Mac wins he will be the one in charge of RAW and basically the whole WWE! Now another stipulation has been added, if The Undertaker loses it will be his final WrestleMania!
Now with that stipulation added, I know that The Undertaker has to win! His final WrestleMania match won't be against Shane, with all due respect it has to be against Sting! I know there was an announcement about Sting's retirement but it just turned out to be a hoax.
Also how are we so sure that Shane isn't just manipulating us? After all WWE has gave us multiple stupid swerves over the years already so don't be shocked if after all this time Shane is actually just acting and is a part of The Authority or something bullshit like that!
So the way I would do this after a hellacious match between Taker and Shane, Taker will pull off the Tombstone Piledriver on top of the cage, pinning Shane after a hard fought victory!
After the match, look who's coming from above in a helicopter... yes it's Sting! Sting then points his baseball bat at The Undertaker while he is on his knees, Taker stands up and gives him the "slice of the neck taunt" whatever you call that.
I know Undertaker's legacy won't be affected whether he wins or loses to Shane McMahon, I just don't want his final WrestleMania match to be against Shane. That's all.
Main Event - WWE World Heavyweight Championship:
Triple H (c) vs Roman Reigns
And last but not the least we got the main event for the WWE World Title, Triple H defending it against Roman Reigns. And I cannot find a single wrestling fan excited for this match! I can't blame ya'll though.
Obviously Roman Reigns is going over Triple H, but there's only one way to save this main event from being boo'd by over 100,000+ people in Dallas,Texas and that is turn Reigns heel!
So the way I would do this and a lot of people suggested this as well, after Roman wins the match The Usos goes in the ring to congratulate their cousin with all the confetti and fireworks and shit, but they were welcomed in the ring with Superman Punches!
After that The Rock goes quickly to the ring and he's like "WTF are you doing? We're family remember?" And Reigns will be like "I don't need family." then BOOM! gives The Rock a spear! Then for added salt to injury, HHH gets up and raises the hand of Roman Reigns making him the new Authority guy!
The celebration still continues in the ring after the whole debacle but this time, The McMahons are celebrating with Roman Reigns and not his family. The new face of The Authority is born!
Giving Roman Reigns a babyface win the way they did with Daniel Bryan will trust me, 100% WILL NOT WORK! WWE knows this too and if they're not being ignorant then they will be giving us a Roman Reigns heel turn.
After this Roman Reigns will debut a new attire, theme music, and he would just look like a whole new person on RAW the next night.
What are the odds of this happening though?!
