The card is really stacked with two big debut matches and great title matches as well! This could very well turn out as one of the best NXT PPV's of all time, and that's saying something cause NXT had a lot of great PPV's already.
Without further ado, it's time to share my thoughts and predictions on the matches for NXT TakeOver Brooklyn II.
Ember Moon vs ???
One of the two debut matches that will happen in NXT TakeOver Brooklyn is going to be the televise debut match of the newest member of the NXT Women's Division: Ember Moon!
Some of you might know her as "Athena" in her indy days. I looked her up and saw a few of her matches and boy she's just great! Definitely a good addition to the growing women's roster of the WWE as a whole.
Now as for her opponent I think it would be Billie Kay. She has won a couple of matches the past few weeks so they're probably building her up for this match as a credible opponent for the debuting Ember Moon.
But obviously Ember Moon will win this match, it's her debut, they've been hyping it up for a while now so it would make zero sense for her to lose this match. Anyways pretty excited for her debut, hopefully she'll receive a great reaction from the crowd!
No Way Jose vs Austin Aries
Will the man from Dominican Republic beat the self proclaimed "Greatest Man That Ever Lived?" NO WAY JOSE! NO WAY JOSE!
Anyways after losing to Nakamura in the last NXT PPV, I think a win for Aries against No Way Jose will be a good bounce back of momentum for him.
As much as I like Jose I think there's no chance in hell he is going to win in this match, sorry buddy!
Andrade "Cien" Almas vs Bobby Roode
Four of the biggest names in TNA history: AJ Styles,Samoa Joe,Austin Aries, and now Bobby Roode are all working for WWE now! If you would've told me this years ago, I would just laugh at you and think you're crazy!
But yeah Bobby Roode will finally make his televise debut in NXT on TakeOver Brooklyn when he takes on the undefeated Mexican superstar: Andrade "Cien" Almas!
Unfortunately for Cien I think he will take his first "L" on his NXT career at Brooklyn as Roode would obviously win on this match.
There's only one word to describe how Bobby Roode's victory against Cien is going to be and that is..... GLORIOUS!
NXT Tag-Team Championships:
The Revival (c) vs Gargano & Ciampa
As much as I like the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, I think The Revival would be successful in defending their NXT Tag-Team Championships.
At first I really didn't care much about The Revival but they grew on me and I started to become more invested in their matches as time goes by. They will definitely be leading the tag-team division in NXT for a while before they eventually drop the belts to the Authors of Pain or even Gargano & Ciampa at some point.
I think Gargano & Ciampa would probably lose in some miscommunication B.S. because they've been really mentioning their match at CWC and how it will come to play in this match so you know it most probably will!
NXT Women's Championship Match:
Asuka (c) vs Bayley
The next title match is between Asuka and Bayley for the NXT Women's Championship, a re-match from their battle at NXT TakeOver Dallas.
Bayley won the NXT Women's Title at Brooklyn, we all know about her amazing match against Sasha Banks which in my opinion one of the best women's matches of all time in the history of pro wrestling!
But this time I think Bayley would go by on the losing end as the current champion Asuka will continue to dominate the whole NXT Women's Division as she will beat Bayley, once again!
Plus Bayley is most possibly going to make her official main roster debut any time soon so yeah, I don't see her winning the belt again. Asuka will stay undefeated, probably for quite a while even.
Samoa Joe (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura
The match I'm most looking forward for out of the whole card is the battle of The Samoan Submission Machine and The King of Strong Style! Samoa Joe defends his NXT Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura!
So the first two title matches I predicted that the respective champions will successfully defend their titles but as for this match, I think Joe will finally drop the belt to Nakamura.
Nakamura is on roll since his debut match at NXT TakeOver Dallas, he defeated Sami Zayn,Austin Aries,Finn Balor and now Samoa Joe will be added on that list!
His strong momentum will definitely continue and at Brooklyn August 20, we will indeed see a newly crowned NXT Champion in the form of Shinsuke Nakamura! At least that's what I think is going to happen.
Thanks For Reading.
