But one thing is for sure, they may have left us but they will always be remembered for the great things they have done and contributed to the wrestling industry.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Growing up I watched a lot of my dad's wrestling DVDs and Piper always entertained me with his crazy antics and great matches especially those against Hulk Hogan.
I also used to listen quite frequently at his podcast "Piper's Pit."
When I came back home from school at night I logged on to twitter and was shocked at the amount of tweets about his passing, at first I didn't believe it but then WWE made their announcement and that's when I knew it was all real.
He passed away after suffering cardiac arrest at the age of 61.
May you rest in peace Hot Rod, we will always miss you.

Since his retirement we've always seen Dusty on WWE programming whether it's on NXT or RAW he was always there. The last time we all saw him was on the Hall of Fame this year and he really had a huge change of appearance.
The WWE had a ten-bell salute to honor his legacy and also for Piper. Dusty wasn't only a wrestler, he thought a lot of young wrestlers about pro wrestling not only to his sons but to almost everybody in NXT.
He will be surely miss.
Perro Aguayo Jr.
(July 23,1979 - March 21,2015)
Perro was one of the biggest stars in Mexico being a legit second generation superstar, Perro achieved success in CMLL,AAA,and his own promotion Perros del Mal. He was the leader of the stable "Los Perros del Mal" which was a huge draw in CMLL and they later invaded AAA.
He passed away on March 21,2015 after a freak accident in the ring at the age of 35. Many wrestling fans all over the world (especially in Mexico) mourned his death, promotions such as Lucha Underground held tribute shows for him. He was definitely gone too soon, but he died doing what he love.

Besides being a successful wrestler around the Memphis area, he was also a referee and promoter. He also wrestled for various promotions in Mid-South,Canada,and Puerto Rico. After two decades Tommy Gilbert retired in wrestling.

The Fantastics mainly wrestled in WCCW and other nearby promotions but they also wrestled for WWF in a short time at their "Light Heavyweight Division."
Rogers retired in wrestling on 2007. He was found dead by his roommate and to this day the cause of death is still unknown, some believed he committed suicide.

To most fans he is probably best known as the promoter of AWA. But besides that Gagne was a decorated wrestler being a 16-time World Champion as well (just like Ric Flair) most notably being a ten-time AWA Champion.
Gagne was also a successful trainer he trained some of the best in the business such as; Ric Flair,Curt Hennig,The Andersons,Ricky Steamboat,The Iron Sheik,Jimmy Valiant,and Buddy Rose.
He was inducted on the WWE HOF in 2006 by his son Greg. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in the later years of his life and passed away on April 17,2015 at the age of 89.

He is recognized for his exceptional wrestling ability and in-ring psychology as well as his great way of delivering promos. He was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame on 2007.
Nick was a second generation wrestler, his father Warren Bockwinkel and also Lou Thesz were the ones who trained him to become a wrestler. He passed away on November 14,2015 at the age of 80 due to natural causes.

He retired in 2008. He passed away just 4 days ago (at the writing of this blog) due to respiratory failure.

His gimmick was a parody of Curly one of The Three Stooges. They even went onto saying that he was a nephew of Curly which gained the attractions of various people.
In December 2006 he was rumored to be dead but Bill Apter later on announced that those were all rumors. Although on July 1,2015 1wrestling.com announced his passing.

On November 15,2015 Axl Rotten tweeted out that Meyers underwent brain surgery. Then on December 5,2015 he passed away from complications of said surgery, he passed away just 2 days before his 42nd Birthday unfortunately.

She was a four time NWA Women's Champion and was inducted in Pro Wrestling HOF in 2007. Combs also wrestled her own daughter Debbie which not a lot of people can say which is wrestle their own daughter (the only other mother-daughter match that I know besides her was Paige vs Sweet Saraya.)
She passed away on June 21,2015 at the age of 92 due to pneumonia.
"Wildman" Don Fargo

He is best known as 1/2 of The Fabulous Fargo Brothers with Jackie Fargo and they held numerous tag-team belts together. When they went solo, Don had a "change of attitude" and became "Wildman" Don Fargo.
Some of the most memorable feuds he had were against the likes of Jerry Lawler,Bill Dundee,Domenic Denucci,and "Cowboy" Bob Kelly just to name a few.
He passed away on November 8,2015.
Percival A. Friend

He is best known for managing British legend; Black Angus Campbell. He also managed other heels in the business such as Harley Race,Roger Kirby,and The Great Togo.
When he retired he remained active on wrestling such as writing for various websites. He sadly passed away at September 23,2015 at the age of 70.
"The Zombie" Tim Roberts
(December 27,1976 - January 7,2015)
But he is probably best known for his one night only appearance in WWE's version of ECW as The Zombie. He was defeated by The Sandman after multiple shots from a Singapore cane. He brought this gimmick onto the indies after he was released in WWE.
On January 7,2015 he passed away at the age of 38. The cause of death is still unknown.

The Scottish Legend had a four decade career in wrestling. He wrestled for various independent promotions in the UK such as All Star Promotions,Frontier Wrestling Alliance,and Insane Championship Wrestling.
Sadly at the age of 59 McDonald passed away on February 9,2015 due to cancer. WWE Diva Paige paid tribute to the legend by wrestling on an episode of RAW with the words "RIP Drew McDonald" written on her arms.

Rickard also managed to wrestle many of the NWA World Champions at the time like Ric Flair,Harley Race,Jack Brisco,and Dory Funk Jr. He also wrestled other great legends like Andre the Giant,Karl Gotch,and The Destroyer.
He is a three-time NWA New Zealand Champion and a record holder for being an eight-time NWA British Empire Champion. He was also the first ever NWA Australia Tag-Team Champion with Mark Lewin.
After retiring being a wrestler he became a trainer & promoter.
He died on April 5,2015 due to natural causes at the age of 85.
"Nature Boy" Buddy Landel

Landel is also best remembered participating in a "Gaunlet Match" against Ric Flair which was billed as "Battle of The Nature Boys" for the NWA Championship in which Flair won.
He also wrestled for a short time in WWF but mainly being on the undercard. Landel also participated as an entrant in the Royal Rumble 1997.
He passed away on June 21,2015 after being involved in a car crash. Legends like Ric Flair,Terry Funk,and Jim Ross all send their condolences online.
Emmanuel "Tiny" Yarborough

He became successful in sumo and was one of the famous sumo wrestlers outside of Japan. He also had the Guinesss World Record of being the heaviest athlete weighing at about 882 lbs.
After he retired in sumo he became an MMA fighter and was involved in the early stages of UFC. Later on he became a professional wrestler as well. He passed away on December 21 at the age of 51.

Reyna was a mainstay in AAA but he also wrestled for other promotions throughout Mexico. He started to wrestle on 1965 and retired on 2011. He passed away due to complications with diabetes.

They tried to make him a wrestler as well having a short one week feud against Steve Blackman but it never worked because Dotson didn't have interest in wrestling.
According to the GoFundMe page about his funeral, he had an incurable eye disease and died without health or life insurance. The GoFundMe page ran by his brother-in-law was a success with the goal of $4,000 they were able to reach $5,170.
He passed away on December 10,2015.
