Most of these talents were wasted either because; they had bad gimmicks when they went to the company, cannot catch up with the company's wrestling style, or the creative just doesn't have plans for them at all.
So yes without further ado, let's get onto the list!
Aloisia (formerly known as Isis the Amazon) could have been the top diva on the roster right now if only she wasn't disqualified. She's the tallest diva in said competition and would've made history for being the tallest diva in WWE's history! Don't believe me? Just look at this!
But unfortunately she was disqualified before the season even started because of some controversial photos of her being released around the internet on that time. She was replaced by Kaitlyn.
Like I said she could've been a great dominant diva on the roster (kinda like Kharma) but all was wasted.
She is now retired.
There was actually a funny rumor where Curt Hennig & Terry Taylor were both interviewed by Vince when they came to the WWF and offered them two gimmicks; The Red Rooster and Mr. Perfect gimmicks. Taylor picked The Rooster and thought that he would be a big main eventer with said gimmick and Hennig was left with the Mr. Perfect gimmick, obviously we all knew who had the most success! Whether this is true or not it is still a funny story!
Taylor could've easily been an Intercontinental Champion but no, being The Red Rooster made all that impossible! Taylor was successful had a good run in NWA & WCW but his WWF run is easily a forgettable one.
He is now currently working as a trainer for NXT.
So what happened? My best bet is probably a loss of direction. Sure he was a US Champion and World Tag-Team Champion but MVP still wasn't able to make it to the top unlike what he did in TNA or maybe even in Japan.
He actually had a decent start, with his feud against Chris Benoit but after that it seemed like he was just tossed around random matches and storylines.
Another possible reason why MVP wasn't pushed through the roof it's because a lot of the guys in his time were also good wrestlers so he could have been overshadowed by them.
Kennedy's only title belt in the WWE was the US Champion and he only had it for a month. He was also a Mr. Money in the Bank but none of those accomplishments are really memorable.
Kennedy had a much more decent career in TNA where he became the two-time TNA Heavyweight Champion.
Vader's WWF appearance was really hyped as he already made a name for himself in WCW and NJPW! He made his debut on the Royal Rumble 1996 and eliminated Jake Roberts,Savio Vega,Doug Gilbert, and one of the Squat Team members. He was later eliminated by HBK and he started to rampage everybody in the ring as soon as that happened!
Probably his most memorable run was being a member of Camp Cornette, becoming tag-team partners with Yokozuna where they were managed by Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji. They mainly feuded with Owen Hart & British Bulldog but that was mainly it, Vader later turned on Yoko starting a feud between the two.
It was a decent big man feud for what it is but certainly far from the best. Vader would only be around in the WWF for 3 years at that time and just had random feuds with anybody.
He for sure could have been a WWF Champion!
When Rey Mysterio came in to the WWE everybody loved him and so WWE thought that the fans would feel the same way with Ultimo Dragon but it wasn't really.
His debut was hyped for a few months until he made his first televised match which was in MSG where he won against Shannon Moore but the crowd seem to doesn't care too much.
He then competed in various tournaments for the US and Cruiserweight Championships but he won none. His last and most infamous appearance in WWE was in WrestleMania 20 where he tripped as he does his entrance!
This is still considered as one of the biggest & funniest botches in WrestleMania history!
Ultimo Dragon is one of the best highflyers of all time! He also won multiple belts all at once but it seems like his time in the WWE is easily forgettable unlike what he did in WCW and AJPW (even on Mexico he had success.)
Hero competed in WWE's developmental league at the time; FCW for the most part of his run and until they re-branded as NXT. His most memorable feuds were against The Wyatt Family and Richie Steamboat.
He didn't win the NXT Championship and wasn't able to reach the main roster as well as he was released on November 2013. Hero said that he is always welcome for another try in WWE when opportunity comes again.
CM Punk said on his infamous podcast interview with Colt Cabana that Chris Hero would've been the 3rd member of The Shield (along with Rollins & Ambrose) but WWE decided to have Roman Reigns instead. It would've been interesting to see how that version of The Shield would work out.
He is now back on the indies and doing fairly well.
He actually had his first run in the WWF as "Johnny Polo" and he was a manager. He managed The Quebeccers and Adam Bomb but the gimmick wasn't successful and only lasted for a year.
He then went to WCW and ECW where he found most of his success. After WCW getting sold out, Raven came to the WWF but nothing much was made out of him thanks to the Invasion storyline where a lot of great talents were wasted like Raven and the two upcoming on this list!
Shockingly enough, Raven is actually a 27-time Hardcore Champion! But none of those title runs were memorable at all thanks to the 24/7 rule the title was being defended at the time.
After getting released in 2003, Raven went to TNA and later on back in the indies.
Awesome had a great run in WCW & ECW! He also had a semi-decent career in AJPW. When WCW was bought out in 2001, Awesome was a part of the group that "invaded" WWF but that's mainly about it for the big guy.
Mike Awesome's talent was wasted thanks to The Invasion. His only "accomplishment" was winning the Hardcore Championship but only held the title for a few weeks before dropping it to Jeff Hardy.
He was mainly a jobber at the end of his career and said on a shoot interview that he was glad to be fired because of the backstage politics that the company had.
He then continued to wrestle in TNA and later on for the indies. Sadly he would pass away in 2007.
Diamond Dallas Page
What makes DDP the biggest talent wasted by the WWE? Well he for sure can be a decent Intercontinental Champion but instead he was stuck in a shitty storyline, being the "stalker" of The Undertaker's now ex-wife; Sara.
There were a few vignettes shown first of someone stalking Taker's wife until it was later revealed to be Diamond Dallas Page. The crowd reacted wildly and that seems to be the last time the crowd would react the same way to DDP in his run on the WWE (until his recent sporadic returns of course.)
He doesn't only jobbed to The Undertaker, but to Sara as well! Poor DDP, from being a WCW World Champion on being beaten cleanly by a non-wrestler!
Brian Zane from Wrestling with Wregret does a great video on DDP's career in WWE. Check it out here!
DDP's recent returns (such as in the Royal Rumble 2015) were oddly enough far better than what he had in his first run! Now DDP is saving people's lives with his DDP Yoga program which is for the best.
