What a stacked card we got, first off The Shield Triple Threat everyone has been waiting for will finally happen here for the first time! Then we also got a lot of huge Tag-Team action going on in this event, most notably The Club taking on Cena with Enzo & Cass!
Also Randy Orton returns for the first time in WWE programming after months of hiatus due to injury. He will be the guest of Chris Jericho in the "Highlight Reel" and I expect a RKO Outta Nowhere happening there!
Anyway without further ado, let's get through my predictions!
Becky Lynch vs Natalya
Unfortunately both of these talented women could very well be having the "piss break match" of the PPV. It's just really a pointless feud that no one gives a crap about.
Becky deserves better and hopefully after Natalya puts her over she gets to do bigger things, but I'm fearing that this feud might continue since both of them were drafted in SmackDown...
Rusev (c) vs Zack Ryder
Do some people actually think that Ryder has a chance to win this match? I probably think he won't be even to pull off a single move against Rusev!
Poor Zack Daddy is back being a jobber being fed to the boys, this time at Rusev. He's just another guy for The Bulgarian Brute to... CRUSH!
The Miz (c) vs Darren Young
Call me crazy here but I actually do think there's a chance of Darren Young winning this match, whether it's a clean victory or winning the match with weird shenanigans again, I'll be fine with it. Although I would prefer it more if he wins the title with by using the Chickenwing!
Just like a lot of people I've actually doubted D-Young's new gimmick too, let's be honest those vignettes with Bob Backlund were far from great but when he actually returned to action I instantly became a fan!
I know his gimmick probably won't last long since the U.S. Elections are right around the corner but I certainly won't mind seeing D-Young become IC Champion even for just a short time.
He has definitely improved a lot and with the legendary Bob Backlund mentoring him he certainly has a good chance of becoming a decent mid-carder at best.
Women's Tag-Team Match:
Sasha Banks & ??? vs Charlotte & Dana Brooke
So it seems like WWE is saving the big Women's Championship match between Charlotte & Sasha for SummerSlam which is fine by me, so we're gonna have a tag-team match instead for BattleGround.
Now Sasha's partner hasn't been revealed yet, who could it be? Becky will have her match at the same night so she's out of the picture,Paige isn't as relevant as she used to be so yeah unfortunately. This only leaves one woman and that is obviously... EVA MARIE!
Okay I'm kidding! Duh it's Bayley, she has to be! Like she really is the only one that makes sense. I found it odd when Bayley wasn't picked during the draft so the only logical explanation for that is they're saving her debut for BattleGround in this tag match with Sasha.
So yeah if it's someone big like Bayley be the one to help Sasha then they have to win! Otherwise, Charlotte & Dana might pull off the victory thanks to more heel B.S.
6 Man Tag-Team Match:
New Day vs Wyatt Family
Man I had a hard time picking a winner for this match since I like both teams but if I really have to choose one I have to go with The Wyatts!
First off they just returned so I guess New Day taking the L on this one really won't hurt them much as for The Wyatts' situation if they lose then they really will be affected badly.
Another interesting fact to note is that this will be Braun Strowman's last match with The Wyatts as he was drafted to RAW on his own while Bray & Rowan were drafted to SmackDown.
I'm not so sure if WWE is planning a big push for him but if they do then don't do it immediately yet since he is still so green in the ring, he still has a lot to learn.
Also will we see Xavier Woods finally turning on The New Day thanks to the hypnotizing shit Bray has been doing to him for the past weeks? I mean I hope not since I still want The New Day to stand strong together for quite some time.
Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens
So after weeks of hyping up this match as the "final faceoff" between the long rivalry between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens... it turned out to be not! Since they were both drafted on RAW...
But yeah I'm sure it will be a good match, and truth be told Zayn & Owens is one of the few rivalries I won't get tired of watching, it's just weird that they were building up this match like it is their last one but clearly it won't be.
If I have to pick a winner I think it should be KO. But if Zayn wins I won't mind that at all.
6 Man Tag-Team Match:
John Cena and Enzo & Cass vs The Club
So this will be the last match The Club will be having together since AJ was drafted on SmackDown and Gallows & Anderson were drafted to RAW.
I know this match could go either way as well but I think The Club will be the one taking home the victory, because they've been playing out this story for weeks: The Club have been together for years now while Cena is just new teaming up with Enzo & Cass. On RAW we saw a miscommunication between Enzo & Cena so that could very well affect their match at BattleGround.
I'm pretty sure John Cena will finally get his victory against Styles at SummerSlam. Also it would be interesting to see if Finn Balor will be involved in this match!
Ambrose (c) vs Rollins vs Reigns
Only in WWE you will see a competitor get suspended because of failing the wellness policy and STILL be in the main event of a PPV!
Anyway this is the hardest match to predict out of the whole card because the belt can go into any one of these men, yes even Reigns! Here are all the possible scenarios that could happen at the main event:
1.) Roman Reigns returning as a face but then, as he and Dean were about to team up on Rollins he Superman Punches the Lunatic Fringe and making him a full time heel. He then wins the belt and turns out to be The Authority's new guy.
2.) Seth Rollins winning the match, because he is Seth Freaking Rollins! Whether it's a clean or dirty victory, I don't think anybody would mind it since everybody likes Seth, even though he's a heel but hey that's how the world of wrestling goes these days.
3.) The one that I want to happen is Dean Ambrose successfully defending the title! I think Ambrose will hold on to the belt for a while, don't know if it will even reach SummerSlam but I seriously hope he would still come out of this main event as the champ.
Which one do you think will happen?
Thanks For Reading.
