Now that WrestleMania Season has mellowed done, it is time for some more action provided to us by New Japan Pro Wrestling. The following weeks they'll be having tours across the country leading up to their Wrestling Dontaku event.
WARNING: SPOILERS DOWN BELOW. OBVIOUSLY.
The conclusion to what was a wonderful weekend as a wrestling fan, WrestleMania 34 is now in the history books.
It's the Grandest Stage of Them All! The Showcase of The Immortals! The Biggest PPV in Pro Wrestling! or whatever else they want to tagline it...
WrestleMania Season won't only be the start of the biggest event in wrestling history, but also the most prestigious and longest running tournament in all of Puroresu:
All Japan Pro Wrestling's Champion Carnival!
Today is the 1st of April and everybody is out here fooling one another for some reason.
Well let me put some reality check on everyone's noggins and state about the truth: Yoshihiko is the greatest wrestler of all time.
As the Eric Bischoff entrance song goes: "I'm Back! And Better Than Ever!" Yes that's right, after a short hiatus due to some school B.S. I'm back writing here at the MWC Blog. What better way to return than with a massive post full of thoughts, previews, and predictions!
Today we'll be taking a look at both the WWE and NJPW. We're just a week away from WrestleMania weekend that means both NXT TakeOver and the WWE Hall of Fame will be taking place.
I'll be sharing my predictions for the five big matches at the NXT TakeOver: New Orleans card and tell my thoughts on every individual being inducted into this year's WWE HOF Class.
But before we do all of that tomorrow is already NJPW's Sakura Genesis show. After a successful event in the US with: Strong Style Evolved, NJPW is back at their home land and we've got a great card up our hands with the show being headlined by an IWGP Heavyweight Championship match between Okada and ZSJ.
Enough with the blah blah, without further ado, let's get right to writing!
The 2018 Royal Rumble PPV is now in the history books and here I am sharing my personal thoughts & opinions regarding each match on the card, because that matters!
As usual with every WWE show, I always go in nowadays with low expectations with how many times the WWE has disappointed us before already. But sometimes they managed to polish up their gems and give us a wonderful show that we will remember for years to come, I believe this Royal Rumble is one of those shows!
So yes without further ado, here is my review for Royal Rumble 2018.
The Royal Rumble is upon us! This year we got TWO RUMBLES involving men and women! As WWE likes to market things, it shall be an HISTORIC night full of MOMENTS!
Wrestle Kingdom 12 is a success, now let's see what WWE has to offer for their annual January tradition PPV: The Royal Rumble. Who will join the elite ranks of Hogan, Austin, Bret, and Flair among many others as Royal Rumble winners?
Find out below and my other predictions for the rest of the card!
WARNING: The content below contains spoilers.... obviously. You've been warned.
Two days has already past and I'm still feeling the sensations within my body on how awesome Wrestle Kingdom 12 was! Every second of me watching that show did not feel like it was wasted! Almost every match delivered well and if you're a pro wrestling fan then do yourself a favor and watch!
If you haven't seen my predictions post regarding this event, you can check it out here. I talked about the matches' storylines and my expectations for them alongside my predictions.
Now that I got that over with, below are my thoughts & review for each match on the card. Remember that these are just my own opinions regarding each match.
So without further ado, let's get on with the review!
We're just 1 Week away from January 4th: the biggest wrestling event in Japan it's NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 12! A culmination of a year's worth of storylines will be concluded and some will start their beginnings in this prestigious event.
This is going to be the second time I'll be watching a Wrestle Kingdom live and I'm even more excited for this than last year's!
All 10 matches on the card are bound to be great and memorable in their own ways! So without further ado, below are my predictions for this year's Wrestle Kingdom at The Tokyo Dome!
I'm Back And Better Than Ever!
So yes after a little hiatus, I'm back posting here in MWC and what better way to return than to recap the biggest happenings in the world of professional wrestling for each month in 2017!
Quite an eventful year we had indeed, across promotions around the world from WWE, NJPW, ROH, and more we've seen new champions crowned, amazing matches, crazy shenanigans, and unforgettable moments among others!
Without further ado, let's just get straight to business!
Another freaking WWE PPV is upon us and this time it's TLC... TABLES LADDERS AND CHAIRS! How exciting right? No? It's understandable.
The card is underwhelming, the main event is really the only thing going for it, remove that and you got yourself an usual episode of RAW, with a "big debut" from an NXT call up which we all hope for they won't fuck up!
I had low expectations going in at Hell in a Cell and it turned out a decent PPV, I'll do the same here and hopefully the results will be the same.
But without further ado, let's just get straight into my WWE TLC Predictions!
We're just a few sleeps away till another SmackDown exclusive PPV is upon us and that is this year's Hell in a Cell!
I gotta be honest, this PPV is shaping up to be a bad one. A bunch of lackluster builds to these matches and an awful boring 2 hour show that became a shell of it's former self does that for you. I'm sure most of the matches will be fine but I don't have high hopes of HIAC 2017 becoming very memorable.
But hey the optimistic part of me wants WWE to turn this shitty build hopefully to a gold mine.
Anyways enough with the babbling, without further ado, here is my predictions for WWE Hell in a Cell 2017!
The last Destruction show this year for NJPW: Destruction in Kobe is now in the history books after an amazing main event between Kenny Omega and Juice Robinson!
Below is my review of the whole card PLUS you get some bonus stuff in the end too where I share my predictions for the upcoming King of Pro Wrestling Event!
WWE No Mercy is back this weekend and it's now a RAW Brand PPV! Two big WrestleMania caliber matches will take place in what many say a "double main event" plus the under card doesn't look too shabby either!
So without further ado, let's just get right onto my Predictions for this year's No Mercy!
NJPW's two Destruction Events: Fukushima and Hiroshima are now in the history books.
I've watched both shows and we got lots of ups and downs, so here I am posting to share my thoughts on each match of the card, because that matters dammit!
So yes without further ado, let's just get right on to the review!
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD, obviously.
We're only just a day away till the inaugural Mae Young Classic Tournament begins to air! They've already announced the official brackets which you can check out here.
I've been excited about this tournament ever since it was announced, the CWC has been a success so hopefully the MYC will follow too.
The wrestlers participating in this tournament is filled with veterans, rookies, and big names that will finally be able to showcase their talents in the WWE and hoping to become the next top woman's wrestler in the world of professional wrestling!
So without further ado, below are my predictions for the whole tournament!
A new wrestling blog is in town and that is the WWE Hall of Famers Blog ran by yours truly, Super Mastodon!
I've always been fascinated by wrestling legends and the history of the business so I've decided to make a website where I talk about EVERY single WWE Hall of Famer in chronological order!
We will be taking a look at each legend share their information, my own personal thoughts about them and whatnot. Hopefully you'll learn something new, I think you'll like it especially if you're a fan of the history side of wrestling.
I will still be posting stuff here in MWC, this is just a different project.
Feel free to share the site around so it gains traction from fans all over the world!
Thanks and Have A Nice Day!
Ladies and Gentlemen... I think we just witnessed the greatest NXT TakeOver in history! And possibly the best WWE Event of the year!
From the opening bout up until the main event, the third installment of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn has been nothing but amazing! I think the show definitely lived up to the hype Triple H gave it as the "WrestleMania of NXT."
Without further ado, let's just get right in to reviewing this great show shall we?
We're just two days away from the second biggest event in WWE: SummerSlam!
This year's SummerSlam is packed with some potentially great and memorable matches and what better way to return here at MWC with my predictions for the show!
After a grueling and fantastic G1 Climax from NJPW, let's take small break from wonderful in-ring matches to more of the entertainment side of things with the WWE as we go through this weekend with NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III and SummerSlam 2017.
Without further ado, let's get right onto predicting!
